We would like to welcome you to San Diego for our 24th Pediatric Dermatology for the Practitioner meeting. This course is designed for physicians and other health care providers desiring to improve their knowledge and practice of pediatric dermatology. We are delighted to have Drs. Patrick McMahon, James Treat, and Albert Yan of Children’s Hospital Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania Department of Dermatology, join our faculty. This year, we have the pleasure of Dr. Robert Sidbury, Professor of Pediatrics, University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital, as well as Dr. Jonathan Spergel, Professor of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital Philadelphia, also joining our faculty.

You will receive a didactic review of dermatologic disorders in neonates, children and adolescents. The course will stress the diagnosis and treatment of vascular birthmarks, acne, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous infections, and fungal infections in immunosuppressed patients, connective tissue disorders, and pigmented lesions. Topic areas will include neoplasms, procedural dermatology, and infestations. Workshops include review of topical dermatologic therapies and challenging cases. The opportunity to mingle and pose questions to faculty on specific issues will also be provided and encouraged.

Upon the completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Select appropriate therapies for atopic dermatitis
  • Accurately diagnose lumps and bumps in children
  • Recognize concerning features of pigmented lesions in children
  • Discuss diagnosis and management of allergic contact dermatitis in children
  • Describe sun protection and new labeling of sunscreens

We look forward to seeing you!
